yeh...i remember the old guements on the forums when HL show audiences clashed with LF audiences over each of their very different perspectives on housemates due to the over edited content in HL show to the slight editting of the LF show.
I really cannot watch this now in the same way...i now just have to see it as a reality soap wiv superficial characters.... accepting the group dynamics as scripted by BB and that their characters are not only embellished by themselves but also toyed with by BB.

Well, in this 'new' version of BB, I think Marcus has been the only REAL person in there, the rest of them are just pale imitations of what they are actually like on the outside, they never ( or rarely ) let their guards down, they keep their BB heads firmly in place, and are more camera savvy than ANY previous BB HMs ( IMO )
with the exceptions of Sophie and Lisa of course, Sophie is so dim and naive she probably doesnt even know what a 'game plan' IS let alone have one,
Lisa? well we have all seen what SHE is like when her BB head slips, and its not nice, she is very used to conflict and LIKES it and quite probably usually wins when she is among her own, she has all the 'tactics' of the veteran bruiser, shout em down, get in their face, belittle them, call for suport and back up from those closest to her, she also realises that though this approach works well ( for HER ) outside the house, its not going to get her into the final, so there is a lot of ' toungue biting ' going on there,
the rest of them dont drop their guards so easily,
as for Charlie, i dont think I have ever seen a HM MORE determined to win or more convinced he is going to.
the look on his face when Tom said he thought Roddy would win, spoke volumes,
As for Marcus? well love him or hate him, I think he genuinely doesnt give a flying one about winning or what BB think or what WE think, and I also think that BB have a bit of a ' vendetta ' going with Marcus cause he shot them down in his brilliant DR rant, so I WONT be expecting much in the way of favourable editing of him from BB, either in the HL shows OR the ( not QUITE live ) 'live' feed. (cause THAT gets edited as well ya know? )

I know, what was he thinking ? he should have been tucked up in bed along with the other dull HMs.

But he's a mute wrapped up in a wanket during the day/evening too.

I don't particulary like Marcus mainly because of his nastiness with Sree. There are lots of other times as well where I've wanted him evicted.

I just think to myself though, what would I rather watch next week? A 'love' triangle with Noirin flirting here, there and everywhere Sleepy or an unpredictable Marcus who at least brings something different to the show. Maybe the 'boys' might get on.

I'd rather Marcus stayed, at least for another week.

You are kidding right? Marcus reacted the way he wanted to. He chose to react the way he did.

Sod all to do with Noirin.

I agree with all that - then theres the controlling and groomng behaviours with Noirin that still, even now has her wary of his reactions, even though they werent bf/gf. I dont admire her, dont get me wrong. Ive certainly said enough against her on these forums. What I dont like in contrast is the way Marcus is now being lorded as some great guy when he clearly isnt. I've been touched by posts, possibly more on DS, where women have experienced the same kind of behavior from guys who told them what to think and how to behave as Marcus has Norin and I find that very disturbing. So no excuse for Marcus no matter how much you hate Norin, which is a very strong word anyway.

Don't agree, he is very underhanded, he is massively deluded, has a very sinister side to him.
I find him to have incredible double standards, for example, one of his reasons for nominating Noirin is because she was quick to judge hira! but he wasn't about Tom??? ..
He is constantly calling Noirin names saying she is stupid for what she says, does and thinks! whether he thinks that or not, why go to all the HM's saying that!
Tom was right, you don't taalk about your best friends like that and he was doing that when he proclaimed they were best friends.

All in all out of the two of them I find him far more offensive! Mad

To call Marcus 'sinister' is just a ridiculous exaggeration. Even Bea says he is 'a big softie'.

Marcus has had to defend Noirin in the house, her behviour at times has been despicable. The only way to try and defend her properly is to try and acknowledge her faults as well. The only way to get her to act better in there is to try and get her to acknowledge her faults. Marcus has definitely been a friend. He has been loyal to her, that's why he considers Siavash's lack of loyalty to his girlfriend so bad. As for Tom...he was put in there to stir things up, Hira obviously wasn't. Two totally different situations.

Well if bea says it then I guess she must be right! by the way big softies can have a darker side, and he does!@!
Why did marcus take it upon himself to defend her?? she didn't need to be defended... are you talking about Sree? yes he was very nice about him wasn't he???
How was her behavior dispicable? she didn't want him to grope her?? yes again she is a bad bad girl for not falling for him!!

It was never HIS job to get HER to act a certain way, don't you see free thinking, they are all responsible for their own behavior, that includes Marcus!

Marcus was clinging on to a hope that she would eventually see sense and fall for him, he could not accept the truth, he resisted anything she said or did because he didn't like it... he was NEVER her friend, and to lie under that guise was worse then dispicable!!

Obviously he was only her friend if she did what he wanted. When she had a mind of her own he dissed her. Thats no Friend.

I'm not kidding at all, Noirin used Marcus to get rid of Sree.

Marcus was Noirin's friend as he supported her when she was down (even if she didn't for him) and he also tried to get other HMs like Freddie and Siavash to understand and accept her.

I feel the same way.

Thought he was a great hm, in my top 3 with Siavash and Freddie but his behaviour these past few weeks has really put me off.

BBLB had a clip of him again going on at Noirin telling her how she should behave and what she can and can't say.

He's a nightmare.

I thought last nights HL were very sympatheic to Marcus showing the totured soul. It depends on whether you find that annoying or not.Not a fan of Marcus or Norin but sad they are both up. Marcus just needed to pick Lisa instead of Hira (who is a waste of space)and she would be up and then - well I wonder if Lisa would have saved their bacon.
Love em or hate em they are far more interesting than user and floater Lisa.

99% of the time she was down because of all the negative stuff he fed her. good on her for making the break ......if you saw the BBLB clip tonight you'll se he's started again.
