Ok...

I was actually dumped in the PCT resource library (as a temporary hotdesk!) during one of my jobs!.

Its a bit of shambles to be honest.... a 'baptism of fire!'

Ermmmm, from what I remember, the resource library staff knew their stuff (they were big on dvds and props...as well as books n stuff!).... and you have already mentioned Health Info Resources.

To be honest..... google is their friend!

You have probably put enough for your application.

But if you get the job.... GOOGLE GOOGLE GOOGLE! Prob in the NHS is... they are so segregated... resources are duplicated without anyone realising it.

Also... any of the professional bodies...

e.g.
Health Professions Council - www.hpc-uk.org

You could literally write a phone book with all the different links. So don't even try.

Just remember to read around before the interview and be able to demonstrate that you have a knowledge of their existance at interview.

Good luck xx

I know I could do it but just need to get in there.

Thanks so much for your help x

Linds... I was just out in the car, going to the shop, thinking about this... thought if I gave you some of the main links I used to use it would give you some idea of what you are dealing with (and some familiarity if any of these abbreviations are thrown at you).

NHSLA & CNST

National Patient Safety Agency

Natpact

CPA

Check out their links pages too.

(I ended up keeping an excel spreadsheet filled with any link I ever came across.... it had over 500 entries! )
