He is trying to defend the indefensible....
You know what he was doing... he was doing a 'Meeeeeeeeeeeeester Swan'.... but without the taps and the bikini..
Because Bea is a patronising idiot and he knows it.

That would make sense..
I don't know whether he is mad a Bea or Marcus. Or something completely unrelated like, he wanted a different kind of soap to the one he was using
Freddie has had to deal with bullying and ridicule in the past, during his boarding school period, and perhaps from his perspective, he sees parallels in how Marcus has been treated by Noirin. Namely the amount of talking that went on behind Marcusâ back, and how that situation was dealt with.
Freddie probably finds himself emotionally invested, on a subconscious level.

He seems to be upset and frustrated due to Bea not seeing his point of view regarding her challenging Marcus over the task.
I think he realises what a stirrer Bea really is and is on Marcus side which she is not.
i think he was shocked by marcus's outburst and didnt know how to react to it, hes marcus's friend but i think that depressed freddie.
I didn't get that myself. Maybe cos it's his first difference of opinion with Bea and now he won't get his oats?
That's twice he's tried to influence her opinion of Marcus....Let her think for herself pls Freddy.

Somebody did put a link on to a channel 4 video, showing that Freddie was upset by Noirin and did'nt trust her, apparently Freddie was crying so it may answer abit more of the little clip the h/l show just showed.
