Charlie gave another infantile performance in the diary room to BB as he expressed his amazement at discovering the relationship between Siavash and Noirin.

He managed to deliver the usual elements of his behaviour when he knows he is on camera or trying to influence hms. He projected the image of a poor, vulnerable, little infant confused by the world and in need of help and attention and any treats that were going and particularly in need of special treatment and consideration and indulgence of his experiences.

I think he has learnt in life that the infantile performance gains him favours and privileged treatment and allows him to demand attention and to indulge in his self-pity and self-interested views without censure. Who would be so mean as deny an infant the right to think of only themselves and their desires?

I have yet to work out whether his behaviour is conscious or sub-conscious. I think he has learnt over the years that playing the baby gains sympathy and special treatment and his way and this performance disguises the much less pleasant elements of his character which come to the fore when pressured. One has to conclude that he has learnt to disguise the more genuine elements of his character because they need disguising.

His infantile behaviour contrasts strongly with other parts of his character which include some quite unpleasant tendencies to bully and take advantage of others of lower status than himself, the most notable example of which was his physically threatening antics on Freddie’s bed some weeks ago which included appropriating Freddie’s stuff. This was during the period that Freddie was deemed as the outcast and therefore fair game to taunt and scorn and in Charlie’s words “outside of the group” in his justification for nominating him. His behaviour to Rodrigo has often been petty, spiteful and aggressive, and without BB watching I suspect would have been violent.

Charlie is only concerned about his self-interest, this is evident when he is nominated or feels his position or prospects are endangered such as with the "you're next" to be evicted remark, or he thinks BB10 has been "cancelled" because it is crap. If he isn't gaining attention or privileges or people are not showing an interest in his welfare he is traumatised and angry.

He is revolting, disingenuous and manipulative.

Just consider, if Noirin had been behaving as he does, she would have been considered a childish, spiteful, spoilt bitch who needs to grow up, yet she is only three years older than he is.

Clapping, he's sly, two faced and backstabbing. He's studied past BB's probably so adopts his personality as he's that desperate to win. Don't worry because Freddie will win I hope so anyway or even Siavash as long as it's not that idiot Wink.

Sorry about that, but almost any other hm would have done as an example. Noirin made a very good contrast because she is so much more mature than him, yet receives a lot of criticism.

Charlie is a twat!

You could have saved me a hell of lot of typing if you had said that before and I copied it Big Grin

I think you are right, he has seen the success of Brian Bello, Pete, Nadia and others that have come close.

I think Charlie is a very unpleasant person.
A bad influence on Rodrigo too.
Charlie`s idea of humour is very UNfunny.
But we have evidence that he lies and takes delight in playing unpleasant pranks on people - but cannot take it when a prank is played back on him.
He has a curly, pouty, mardy top lip, which looks as if it has adopted that position as a result of too many mardy/spoilt expressions through his life.
I am amazed that his odds are so short. I see no redeeming features in the man.
If he should (by some fluke) win, he would be one of the worst ever BB winners.

Absolutely, he seems to delight in being unpleasant to those who are weaker and more vulnerable than he is.

I can think he only appeals to the people who when observing infant-like behaviour suspends their critical and perceptive faculties and instead go into some sort of protective and parental mode. It is so sad. I think this must be some natural programming of parents that enables them to excuse the appalling behaviour of their offspring.

i don't like him.......

hate his pouty hurt little boy routine.....like when it was announced himself and lisa had got the most votes during nomination.....straight away he piped up.'why me?..what have i done?'..

the way he puts his finger to his lips whilst giggling away in the d/r....and don't get me started on his 'the whole time' routine where he clapped his hands like marco from bb5....even bb got sick of him and said the d/r door was open.....

he's sooooooo fake..all this....'i don't know anything me'......and if he upsets someone it's...'i was only joking'.......

he bitches and whinges.can't keep anything to himself.....he's awful......

and i bet he wins.......

On the surface, Charlie may appear like that but he's actually very intelligent and quite nuanced. He's also very in touch with his feminine side, and Rodrigo's masculine front and back.
