Until recently I've kind of sympathised with Noirin's predicament regarding Marcus. What did it for me was when she started in on Siavash. Now, yes, I fully accept that Siavash has his responsibilities in this too.. but then we are talking about Noirin in this instance. It became apparent, for me, that she was essentially toying with people with no regard.

Like I've said in another thread, she started, continued and escalated things with Siavash:

knowing he had a girl (of some description, the jury is out on whether she was a GF and for how long) on the outside..
knowing she had an ex she was 'in lurve with' and who asked she didn't get up to any shannanigans in there..
knowing that she wouldn't touch Siavash with a shitty stick if she'd met him in a club on the outside..
knowing that she fancied Tom more and would '**** him every day' given the chance..
knowing that she fancied her ex more..
knowing that Siavash and Marcus had a friendship that would be damaged..
knowing that Siavash liked her.. alot.. enough to risk all he may have had on the outside..
knowing that.. as she herself said.. she shouldn't be doing what she did, because people would be hurt.. but then doing it anyway..

It is one thing to flirt and have fun.. quite another to, in her own words, be 'very manipulative' and go after what she wants and to hell with the consequences. It displays, to me, a lack of empathy and concern for the feelings of others. It also displays an amazing level of self absorption.

Exactly as Tupps said, i will just add ***** tease to that and its perfect Thumbs Up

She should have told Shree and Marcus in no uncertain terms that she didn't fancy them. That is the only thing I can think she could have done differently.

Noirin is not arrogant, or up herself, as far as I can see. She loves to be loved or liked. Nothing wrong with that.

I don't get what she has done wrong.

Confused

I pretty much agree with you but I'm getting exhausted penning my support against hefty (but misguided) opposition. Thumbs Up

This is a forum and we're all enttiled to our own opinions based on what we see and what we deduce.Just because some of us see Noirin differently to you does not make us wrong or misguided. We just have a different standpoint Confused

What behaviour precisely though darloboy??

She's a flirt nothing wrong with that whatsoever my problem is that she leads the guys on, but the guys are enjoying it and there would probably be less criticism if it was the other way around. She's coming across as being a manipulative and she's playing with peoples feelings and emotions at times but all in all an interesting hosuemate Wink

Shes not a flirt!!!!!1Shes a dangerous, unpleasant person imo.She was positivelt revelling in the drama on HLs last night(more so on live feed) reRed Faceohhh.I kissed Siavash but I really like Tom ...twirls hair, flutters eyelashes....grinning from ear to ear.

A flirt is harmless and knows exactly where the border lies.Good flirts are often a womans woman...something I see no evidence of in Noirin(but thats how I see itSmiler )

That's what I used to think..

I just thought she hadn't any real capacity to control her 'allure' and that she was perhaps a little naive. That she had this sexual power and really didn't know what to do with it or how to handle it.

Having seen a little more of her, I really don't think that's the case. She has a 'power' which she could choose to use for good or evil, responsibly or irresponsibly. She chooses the latter in both.

Thats the conclusion I have come to,Tupps

I posted this in another thread:

I think she would have kept him (Marcus) in reserve, much like she did when Sree was in the house and she kept Marcus on the bench, so to speak.

She got everything from Sree that she wanted - an unrequited love story, a stalker, and airtime. When she felt the situation had run its course, she ran to Marcus to "save her" from the stalker Sree.

Then she played 'chase me, kiss me' with Marcus and once again she had the unrequited love story, a stalker and most importantly - AIRTIME. Marcus had run his course, and she moved onto Siavash, but Siavash wasn't what she expected, or needed. Siavash was actually concerned about Marcus' feelings, something that Noirin cares nothing about, so she moved onto Tom.

Now that Tom is gone, the big question is whether she will go back after Siavash, hoping to twist him around her finger, or move onto Freddie - or even Lisa.

I agree with everything except this one, I don't think an ex has the right to ask you not to get up to anything, they are an ex after all.

No, he probably doesn't.. but then I don't know enough about their current relationship other than what Noirin has let slip. But then I'm not saying anything about the rights and wrongs of that.

The point being, she has all these cons on HER list, reasons why she says she shouldn't do what she is doing.. one being it'd cause some kind of trouble with a man she says she is still in love with.. and she does it anyway.

This whole "ex" thing is nonsense to me too. An ex is an ex for a reason. If they have any say in your behaviour then ergo they cannot be an ex.

I don't think she's done anything wrong tbh. If men are that malleable then it's their lookout. And a sad reflection on the men involved...

She would have to be incredibly brave or totally stupid to try and go back to Siavash.

Or both! Laugh

I can't say I'd be having any bugger I'd split up with dictating to me what I could and couldn't do.. Laugh

I reckon she wants him back.. big style. Nod From what I've seen about how it ended, he dumped her... that's gotta smart for a gal like Noirin who says she is used to having what she wants and to getting her own way.

That's why I think it's been easy for her to behave the way she does, I'm not sure she wants him back because she cares about him, I think she wants him back so she can finish with him on her own terms.

Mmmmmmm. The same can be said of any housemate. Some people feel the need to defend Noirin because they can't understand the 'hate' raged against her. Most will tell you that Noirin is not their favourite. Some of the comments are Confused and make you wonder 'did I miss the bit in the show where she stripped naked and straddled every man in the house, and then stabbed them through the heart afterwards'.

I knew some misguided people would backlash over the negative threads posted about Noirin as thats human nature to protect the underdog but it's the total ignoring of her (to say the least) dodgey behaviour I find bizarre.

It's human nature to like some people and dislike others based on their personality traits and characteristics. I happen to dislike Noirin based on what *I* perceive to be personality traits that I do not like.

It amused me to no end in BB7 when some people called Aisleyne "fake" and yet loved it when Nicky acted like a four year old child.

I've said it before, but if we dislike someone, for whatever reason, we tend to see bad in all that they do. Its evident year after year in forum threads. A person will defend one of their favourites for certain behaviour and then totally slate another hm for doing the exact same thing, saying 'its not the action its the intent behind it'. I have defended Noirins actions, I have also defended Marcus'. Do I want either of them to win.....HELL NO. I think the only housemate that I wouldn't defend is Lisa, why, cause I really cannot stand her.

I really don't have a favourite this year and tbh, I haven't had a fave since BB7. IMO, it IS the intent behind the action that is important. For example, when Charlie threw water over Angel's eviction outfit, what was his intent? IMO, it was to humiliate her. I didn't see it as funny or a joke, I saw it as malicious. However, during a water fight with other housemates, throwing water has a complete different meaning.
