I know where you think this is heading but your wrong.

So i was at work. Having a good time. It started to die down about 1:00am so i was told i could leave early at half one. So i finish my shift and head outside for a cig.
I get chatting to a bloke i thought runs another pub in town. It wasn't him but he told me he runs the company that dispatches the bouncers to most the clubs/pubs in town.
We got talking. I explained my siuation (im broke) but also that i would love an oppotunity to do bouncing work.
After he asked around and got some reference from the people i work with he told me he would be willing to put me through the course needed to become a bouncer (this would cost around £2000)

I gave him my number and im waiting for his call.
Lets just hope he wasn't just saying it all to try pull me

Bouncing you can earn anything from £10 an hour to £30 an hour where i live so needless to say this would be a huge benefit to me

I really hope for your sake he was genuine as you say, it would financially be beneficial for you, but I'd have to question his motives

At the end of the day i was a manger of a shop at 19. I ran an internet business by myself. I work two jobs at the mo and im a great person

Dont worry hun i will tread carefully. It is a natural assumption to me that all/any bouncer or anything thing to do with bouncing is dodgy in some way shape or form.

To do door/security work it is compulsory you have an SIA license, you can get these with no training (dodgy) for about 150 quid. Or you can do the 3-5 training course and the whole thing should only cost about 500 quid.

it's entirely possible his motives are clean. my OH's CRB, medical and license for taxi driving got paid for by the companies he started working for (two taxi firms did it for him...as he applied with a diff one after his first license expired). alot of companies do this as it's easier that way than to try and find someone with the quals already or willing to pay themselves....though more companies should do it imo

but do tread carefully as you dont know the bloke, so he may not be as 'kosha' as he sounds

...£2000 sounds a bit much for bouncer training

The figures i work out myself. I had a boyfriend who became a bouncer and after the actual course there are cost of buying your official badge and registration etc. I maybe way out but from what i remember £2000 was about the end total for my b/f at the time.

Well however much it costs. If this guy is genuine it should be something i dont have to worry about

Forget the cost.. forget the motivation of the bloke..

The days of the steriotypical female bouncer have passed. I know a couple of female bouncers in town and they dont look like tanks

Im assertive. I hold my own and i take no crap. Plus i have a fear of no one. And this to my physical strenght i think id fair pretty well

my friend's son has just been through the course, and the company paid for it, it came to around £500 and they are going to get their money back by stopping so much each month out of his wages.

Be careful hun

I'd hate to see him rip you off for £2,000

Its well worth contacting your local city council as they'll run courses to train up their various doormen in the city.Ask a few questions about how long the course is and how much it costs.Who knows they may be looking for recrutis themselves and offer to put you through the course.Plus theres limitless work for bouncers round where i live.Privately,you're looking at up to £100 a night and probably get drinks bought for you

But £2k sounds way too much

It can be worse if you know everyone cos you would be expected to turn a blind eye to stuff.

When I did it I worked in a club and didn't know anyone (apart from colleagues) - you'll be surprised at what goes on and this was in '94, God knows what it'd be like now!
