I have a well known telecommunications company (who also have the odd plane) coming round today to install a telephone and telly box.

I was told that they would be here between 8 and 1. It's 11 and nothing.

Whenever this happens I am always last, Anyone here ever been the first person, there must be one.

Not complaining as I was on the razzz last night, so don't feel much like going out yet Wink

I'd be on the phone by now, just to check that they are coming.

Morning.

8.30, pretty good. 3 months, not so good. Hope you are enjoying your new suite. I need a new one, so will mean another wait in for me !!

Next time I think I will avoid drinking the previous evening.

We ordered some new cushions on the internet, paid extra for next day delivery, come 4.00pm they still hadn't arrived. OH checked on-line despatch and it said that 'items tried to be delivered but no answer' we had been in all day so OH 'phoned the company. The man (who I think must have been the supervisor) said 'did you not get a card through the door'? told him there was not a card, he then went on to say 'I know the driver who was supposed to deliver and this has happened several times with other customer's, and aplogised. Can't believe in this current situation that someone with a job would be willing to lose his job cos he wants to go home early Shake Head

Argos delivered our garden furniture at 7 am a few weeks ago - was originally told between 7 am and 12 and then the evening before they phoned to ask us if it would be alright to deliver around 7 am and then on the morning gave us a ring 15 mins before to tell us they were on their way.

Well impressed.

they did that with me too Thumbs Up

I have waited 2 months for a replacement fridge freezer because my new one broke in the first week. It came yesterday and they wouldn't give it me because i hadn't defrosted the old one even though they only gave me 10mins notice. (And it was the fridge that was frozen because that was the fault). Now i am sat waiting for it to be redelivered and you know i am last on his list.

Argos are great for that - I had a table and chairs delivered last Saturday. They said between 8 - 12, phoned at 8.10 and delivered before 9 a.m. AND a text and a phone call the day before.

The people who brought my fireplace though.... Angry
