I was hoping Bea would do it...although her attempt was pressured by the beast who's name I haven't learnt yet...and it was a pretty lame attempt at least....

If they didn't try though it would kind of be embarrassing to Endemol as it would just show how stupid the task was. So I'm sure Endemol do everything in their power to make them do it.

I'm all for embarrassing Endemol and for the reason you describe.

What sanctions could there be? Chuck 'em all out? I can't see that happening. This year BB has been particularly stale as an entity and BBBM is a complete farce, just look at how "hard" Karly was treated recently...

Karly made them some eviction vote money, why should they hate her? lol.

Just thought of a motive for the task.

The first week the newbies can't vote, and also the first week the originals can't vote the newbies out.

but if BB devised a task that the newbies couldn't win and the result would be all the newbies up, how clever would that be to get around the rules that protect newbies, clever old BB.

We don't want to vote the originals this week when we have 5 new ones to choose from and there's always one we don't like most, plus it would tell BB which of the new HM's was popular and which wasn't.

Yes, if they did succeed, it would only show that they were willing to trample over other people to achieve their objective, which would make them unpopular with the viewers and the other housemates. So much better to take your chance and be up for eviction with the other 4 newbies.
