surely there was some sort of remote control. FFS if they supposedly had the technology to land on the moon I would guess they had some sort of sophisticated photography system/or way to record it wouldn't they?

the "pod" or Lunar assent module took off from the moon and WASNT watched on apollo 11,
it was the later missions 17 I think, the tv camera was attatced to the lunar rover (the little buggy the latter missions took with them) and the camera was operated from mission control,(on earth)
but because of the distance and the delay that causes, the opperator had to feed in the commands to pan upwards a few seconds BEFORE the module actualy took off, and he got it spot on as well,
Apollo 11 only had the one fixed camera position,

Can anyone explain to me what there was to gain if it was a hoax? .........Surely there was far more to lose if the supposed falsehood was exposed (and I dont think it would have been too hard to disprove.)

And for some reason, the ones who 'believe' it are being very rude to those that don't. Why? Zaphod, your posts making fun of people, and putting sarcastic posts with the 'Nigerian scam' is really not impressive and is certainly not going to change peoples' minds.
