My mother used to buy them - I think they still make them! You used to be 'posh' if you had a ready meal in those days, now it's the opposite!
I love my combination microwave but I do love Patak's 'karai' (sp?) curry sauce, stunning - I use it with quorn for my veggie curry! Thumbs Up

Do you pierce the wrapping before you try to cook it?

You're right, they are top shelf material! Big Grin I haven't seen or heard of 'Mr Dave's' tbh - I'll look out as I keep a few ready meals in the freezer in case I'm out all day and hubby will faint Ninja if he has to wait until I get home for a meal. Roll Eyes (He can cook but ransacks the kitchen! It's cleaner if I do it ahead!). So, I do try to be organised like today for instance, I'll make at least two batches each of meat and quorn bolognese and freeze a few portions of each. Angel

I'm happier with the thought that it was soya, not stringy bits of an animal they cant use elsewhere all stuck together with hoof glue.

Oh I know! Ninja Don't think I went there tho' as I'm tight when it comes to eating out! I had a feeling you were from my neck of the woods and were talking locally. (I forget things these days such as a/s/l of Fms!). It's not fun being 51 and female! Ninja I still think restaurants could do more for us veggies these days - I mean I don't eat 'goat's cheese' etc and that seems to be the in thing. Roll Eyes

The Turkish restaurant on the front used to be lovely but they've gone sooo expensive I don't go there any more - plus as in Turkey you have to be careful as their version of 'no meat, ie vegetarian' usually translates as 'we've taken the meat out, so we've only used the meat stock!'. Eeker
