Really? Eeker I do hope she goes this week, then Lisa will have no puppet - why don't they make soups out of whatever they have, as long as it's hot it's filling and will last between meals. Every year I'm surprised at the fact no one has any common sense with regard to food - at least 'Gos' in BB? kept a pan of soup even gruel going to see them thro'.

To be fair you could accumulate food much better back then. They take away any left over food each week now to make it harder on them. I also remember a chef critisicing Gos for not using the budget better. Hehe how times change.

Last year they had a veggie patch but they destroyed it by fall on it drunk and ruining the veg - couldn't see this would supplement their basic budget Roll Eyes
They did get quite a few things from it. Rachel looked after it a lot and Rex decided when and what to use from it when they more needed it.

Far too sensible to make your own bread and pizzas etc... Big Grin

True, I forgot how they could accumulate their food. But I'd surely get a pan on and judge the timing better than they do. If only to snack in between meals - a few lentils/chick peas/basics here and there could make a pan of soup asap.

Soup is a really good idea and cheap. Also spicy noodles and rice dishes. Rice really fills you up, I was told Chinese traditionally eat the rice last in a meal to fill them up. Also making pizza bases is dead cheap and dead easy a bit of tomato paste and mozzarella on top, maybe an egg and sliced tomato Smiler. Its the meat that really costs the money.

Exactly! Meat costs, unfortunately for meat eaters. As a veggie I can make things tasty with ingredients people wouldn't imagine - sounds sad but true. Roll Eyes Nod Many a friend have wondered how 'I survive'? Roll Eyes They're just lazy with no imagination - surely if you're going into the house you'd check these details out? Or are we FM too intelligent for BB? My husband loves meat but even he can't believe how they have to eat meat orientated food/meals all the time.
