Ive actually got my Child Benefit sorted! Dont know how many of you will remember, but cutting a long story short; My eldest girl went off the rails last year and ended up living with her father for a couple of months. I informed tax credits and Child benefit, did everything by the book and they stopped payments for her. Come the end of November, she saw the light and came home and ever since then I have been trying to get the Child Ben reinstated. Coz my total swine of an ex was claiming she was still living with him! Anyway, after months of calling them etc etc and providing them with "evidence" my MP stepped in and hey-presto they sort it out AND backdate it to when she returned! BUT... Can you believe the twonk I used to be married to; He phoned my daughter today saying he'd "only got 2 weeks money and she stayed there ages" But the fool didnt apply for it straight away And then he had the cheek to say that Id BEEN getting paid since last December!!! Obviously they sent him a letter too, to say they found my daughter WAS living with me and told him I was gonna get a backdated payment. Think the word "backdated" was beyond him But FLAMIN CHEEK! He lied about her living with him, has NEVER paid a penny for any of my 3 kids in maintenance and earns ÂĢ17 an hour!!!!! Complete greedy lying git! Well, haha. Glad they worked him out. Cant believe with all his money he tried to steal a little bit of Child Benefit from me!

Well let's hope they get him for attempting to defraud them.

Yes I remember this LMS im really sorry about what you have been through but thankfully justice was served... Thank God your daughter is on track now....
Well done LMS. I had a dispute with them too, which was sorted out after my MP intervened. Took 7 months. It's a great feeling when they have to back down in the face of evidence.
Pfff. if only!! Years ago, he was forging my signature and sent "receipts" to the CSA to say he'd been paying me maintenance for the kids! I rang the old bill, coz it was "fraud" and they told me it wasnt a police matter but a "civil" one and Id have to got o court! Luckily the mug had made a few boo-boos including signing my name for the date I was in Butlins on Holiday with my kids! NEVER got done for it tho! No wonder they say "the law's an ass!"quote:Originally posted by Heartache:

aww, bless you for remembering; Yes we have! My girls have been talking to other fans on the JLS website (they have a huge fan base) and it sounds like they are gonna have to start queueing (spelt wrong) very very early in the morning, as loadsa girls are going and there are only 200 wristbands!... The shop opens at 8 on Monday morning, the fans have to buy the cd and the first 200 get given a wristband. Then at 4pm they go back to the shop and those with the wristbands can get their cd signed! I tell you now I AM NOT lining up outside HMV at stupid o clock in the morning!! They are on their own there! They will be ok as a couple of other girls they know are going and staying at the same hotel overnight, so they are gonna be with them, plus they are meeting other fans theyve made friends with through the website!!quote:Originally posted by Heartache:

They will have a brilliant time, even if it's just for the queuing. I waited 12hrs once to see my fav band, buy the CD and get it signed. Had such a laugh in that queue, something that stays with you forever.

What a good Mum you are! I think it's great you're taking them - they must be so excited. I remember how distraught they were that they didn't win, and I'm glad the guys are building a career for themselves. Hope they have a great time.

I'm on incapacity benefit and allowed to earn ÂĢ20 a week. I took a job I can do from home and they wouldn't accept that I only earned the amount I was allowed despite receipts etc. I went to a solicitor which didn't help at all. Then scotty suggested to lobby my MP. 2 weeks later, all sorted.
See, at least some of them do their jobs!!quote:Originally posted by cologne1:quote:Originally posted by Little Miss Spurs:Really? what happened with you. Theyre complete sods for calling you back too and never do it!quote:Originally posted by cologne1:
