I have got piglet flu as my charming doctor described it this morning. The strain resembles a bad cold or mild flu and they arn't giving out Tamiflu because they are expecting it to go massive in the Autumn and are hoping people will develop a resistance to this mild strain.
I have my Lemsips etc and have been advised to keep contact with peoples to a minimum, lots of rest and fluids and ride the storm.

Why oh why don't we have LF?!?! I could have stayed here in my bed and indulged.

Awww. Piglet flu!

Keep us informed of what it's like! I'm expecting to get it in the next few days with it being in our company now.

It's just like a bad cold, have a headache, shivers, keep sneezing and spent the morning asleep, but now I've had some honey & lemon and a good wash I feel ok.
You are better off getting this strain now than the expected Autumn one.
Go and lick some people in your company Daniel. Smiler

Sorry to hear that Sunnie. Any idea how you caught it? Have you been abroad?

If anyone remembers my thread about my son's gf and my worries about her, well, it was her!
She's a confirmed case picked up from her auntie who had been to Mexico I think.

It all seems to link back to that place. Bet there tourist industry has taken a nose dive.

I would kind of like to get this lesser version. The people who have died from the full blown strain, several have had "underlying health problems". They haven't said what these have been, but as I've got an auto-immune disease plus emphysema, I would rather know if that puts me more at risk. Frowner

I can understand that Jenny, had a good chat with the quack this morning about it, the last few months have been trying for myself and I reckon that's why my son and hubby haven't got it but I have. However, after hearing what may occur in the "fluey" seaon I am quite glad I've got it now.
Hug for you Smiler
