My heart sank next morning walking downstairs not only did she not lock it,she didnt even close it properly it was ajar

She was trailed out of bed at 6.30am for her trouble and the mother of all lectures

now i am checking double checking and getting up to check when she comes home after night out

I have neighbours who never lock their doors. At least one of my neighbours doesn't even have any locks on his door. I have to say we lock our doors at night but when my daughter was still at home and out for the evening we usually left it unlocked for her coming back because we didn't want waking up at gone 4am. But it's quiet where we live.

Gahd, my old house's front door didn't even close for about 10years, let alone lock!! I think for the 28 odd years my dad has lived in that house he has only been locking it for about 8 yrs! Our neighbours would walk in and leave us veg in the hallway, it was nice. But we did live in a lovely coastal village so not really same as London or other places. Smiler

I used to live on one of the roughest council estates in Stoke, and over a period of a year or so I got up on at least 4 occasions to find I had slept alone in my flat not with the door unlocked, but with it WIDE OPEN all night,
perhaps they were scared to come in MY place,...or that they knew I had nowt worth nickin, Big Grin
