yes it was sad...but look on the bright side...if a child had to go, best to take one with a pudding basin haircut....in my experience they're the ones who turn out worst Nod

Seems a pity though, as he appeared to be a nice kid in spite of the haircut.
You would have thought they could have nipped out and got an antisocial feral kid with an asbo off a street corner in the act of menacing a pensioner though, wouldn't you.
That wouldn't have caused anyone grief and would have killed two birds with one stone - so to speak.

Result all round.

There must have been loads about wagging it from school.

But, but, but that's the same sort of attitude the "council" had. No, not MY kids!

I hear what you're saying about the ASBO kids, but most of the time, it's the fault of the parents not giving a damn. They let their kids run feral and blame everyone else.

The PM was more than willing to let that civil servant guy sacrifice his kids, but not his own.

I moan along with everyone else about paying the license fee, but the BBC do put on some cracking programmes and the commercial channels put on shite.

hes from a place called boshane and due to unknown reasons he cant be killed but he isnt immortal as in later life at the end of the earth he is known as the face of bo and later he does finaly die.

What is Torchwood and who do they work for?
torchwood was set up by queen victoria to capture the doctor and to harness alien technonolgy in order to defend the british empire, there are 3 torchwood offices all built over time/space rifts, torchwood 1 at the top of londons canary wharf, torchwood 2 in cardif and torchwood 3 in scotland

Who are the man and woman who are working with Captain Jack? Do they have some special powers?
gwen is a former policewoman, ianto used to work at the london office of torchwood and joined the cardif branch after the london one was destroyed and his girlfriend killed

What is the significance of 456?
something happened in the 1960's and its back, you'll need to watch this series to find out what

Who are the baddies all dressed in black who blew him up and shot the doctor?
[not watched it yet so cant answer]

Any more info would be appreciated as it looks like a good series if I knew what the hell it was all about.
the previous 2 series have been great, this one is much shorter but should still be good.

Many thanks for answering all my questions. I have finally watched the last episode and it seems I am a new fan of the show. Smiler

yes, would be better if they had added a few more episodes.....but they certainly left us wanting more Thumbs Up

Wonder if the next series will involve Gwen having an alien baby...there was a tease at the end when she did say she had been on the pill all the time Glance

Perhaps Jack will return to save it or something, to help him deal with his guilty conscience Thumbs Up

oh did she Eeker...must have missed that one....haven't seen all of the series...what happened?

she got touched by an alien and got up the duff...like woke up nearly full term Laugh ON HER WEDDING DAY!
the male alien who touched her was killed by torchwood, but the mummy alien was on the rampage (disgused as rhy's mother iirc) to take the baby back once it had burst out of gwens womb.

in the end i think jack n the team used some alieny laser thing to 'erase' it while it was still inside gwen...which was risky to say the least Big Grin

Oh you did!! I had forgotten about the whole Gwen pregnancy by an alien episode.

In the past, in weekly episode was pretty much it's own episode, like Doctor Who. There were some carry overs - like Jack and Janto love affair and stuff like that.

The best part of this series, for me, is seeing how the government react. Yeah, I know it's fiction and all that, but I dare anyone to say they would do any different in the leaders' position and were able to protect their own children above any others.

Absolutely brilliant series!

Nod yeah that's why i started the other thread...it was a real thought provoker wasn't it...and so many levels

To make people (including myself) feel sympathetic to a government who was off murdering children takes some doing...he can be a bloody good writer than Russel T bloke Clapping

Bloody brilliant writer and very thought provoking! I should kidnap him and spend a few days with him and get him to analyze some of my inane witterings.

Soldiers obey orders; it's what they do. And they'd probably been given the inoculation story, which would make it easier for them to justify any misgivings they might have had...
I have to confess I was yelling at the screen during those scenes...I wanted the parents to do something, rush the troops maybe, and overwhelm them with sheer numbers.

I started to Crying about then...and the tears were running down my face when John Frobisher took his requisition 31 into the bedroom and closed the door, so by the time Captain Jack sacrificed his grandson, I was a soggy mess...
