I just hope he lives up to his hype, over the years I have heard it all before about various british tennis players. I believe he upset a lot of people when he said he would be supporting Uraguay(sp) when they were playing England at football. I couldn't give a rats ar##, it didn't bother me, but I guess if you were an English footballer then they might have taken it personally

Yep agree with you cologne, he doesn't give a crap if he offends peeps, so why should they give a crap and support him. To be honest I haven't watched one set of Wimbledon this year, I am normally glued to it, have no idea why I have no interest in it this year.

I like Andy Murray for the very reasons people dislike him.

He's in the game to play tennis...not to make friends or charm the worlds press.I admire his single mindedness.Perhaps if Tim Henman had shown a bit more tenacity and focus he might have won Wimbledon.He was certainly a quality grass court player and with the right breaks might just have done it.I also believe that its a matter of time before Murray wins a grand slam.

Some professional sportsmen just happen to like the roar of the crowd, it motivates them.

I see it all the time at football matches with the players encouraging the crowd.

I just love watching tennis.
I love watching someone who has passion for what they do and Murray has passion.
IF, ( and it is IF), he reaches the final, which i really hope he does, then i'm going to be in a quandary as to who i will want to win.
My loyalty is of course to a british player but at the same time i would love to see Federer get the 15 titles.

There's still the semi's to get through and Roddick and Haas are no pushover's.... no matter what, Tennis win's as it's been a wonderful Wimbledon this year.

Disagree totally. I have heard many Scots say that they don't care what team wins, as long as it is not England. And they don't care what nationality wins any sport, as long as it is not someone English. The Scottish hate England to win anything. Certainly in my experience anyway
