Love making recipes up too- but never really sure if I've completely made it up as I watch so many cookery programmes/read so many cookery books! My 'made up' recipe for duck which I love is to marinade duck legs or breasts in ginger, chilli, garlic, loads of honey, soy sauce and rice wine vinegar then cook 'as normal'..making sure the skin is really crispy- delicious.
My mistake of the day was to buy Sainsbury' Be Good to Yourself half fat mozarella (it's all they had)- usually love mozarella with baby plum tomatoes, basil, drizzled with olive oil and balsamic and some ciabatta for dunking- but that half fat stuff is evil, just tasted like rubbery nothing Disappointed
