Firefly.. a few questions before i buy...

Hey am new to this section of the forum, usually find me over on BB (don't hold that against me though?!!) anyways i have just one more episode of Buffy left before its all over... am really sad!!

Someone recommended Firefly to me (even though it was cancelled) - am i right in thinking its only 1 series and then a DVD/Movie? On Amazon there's 2 movies??

Anyone help a gal out??

The series has amazing one liners and my boyfriend utterly loves it, why it got cancelled (even to me is surprising) I just don't know. There is only one series and 1 film called 'serenity' and 'still flying' is one of the series websites but it is undergoing maintenance at the moment. There may be bigger fans than myself that can give you a better answer .

I'm a big Buffy fan, but unfortunately I couldn't get into Firefly.

I loved Firefly and was gutted when they axed it ... Can't understand why it was axed either ...

'Serenity' ... the movie which launched the series is one of my favourite movies ever ...

I love sci-fi and would rate Firefly as one of the best ... good thing is you don't need to be a sci-fi fan to enjoy it though (IMO) ...

Anyway, I would definitely recommend it ...

i'll add to the recommendations... adam baldwin as jayne cobb is one of the greatest casting jobs ever.

In fact, I think what was so good about Firefly was the excellent casting ...

How did you get on?

Make sure you try the movie Serenity too. I love Joss Whedon's work. I think the Firefly crew are amongst his funniest and most interesting characters. It's a shame to think that we may never see them again.

Its not payday till 2moro LOL!! I'll be ordering both then - i am hoping for Joss' Firefly to have everything i miss from Buffy!!

I LOVE Firefly and the film is amaze

Well worth watching!! And although it was cancelled before its time the film does help tie up many of the loose ends so you don't have that annoyed feeling you get if you watch, say, Tru Calling whihc has no conclusion.. **sniff, sob**
