Yeh, I thought yin and yang. There's a bible story about Jacob and Esau, 2 brothers who were against each other. Think it may have some relevance to the show.

I heard someone compare it to Dogma, but I'm not sure.

I doubt they'll ever be able to tie up all the loose ends, I think the writers want us to have a sort of personal take on it.

I like the mystery of it. And the way we as viewers have to really work at it to understand the show. It's my fave ever. But yeh, I bet they're regretting the day they ever put a polar bear on the island!!!

I am with you on the polar bear... and the movin trees!
The trailer has the black smoke in ... which is good! (black smoke would work well with the angel/devil.. type storyline.
Hubby reckoned the Polar Bear has been explained... he reckoned it was manifested by that kid that had 'powers' (the one with the labrador)... that the kid saw the bear in his comic... then created the bear out of his own fear!

Ok, just watched it. And I'm am still bliddy confused. I have kept up quite well with Lost until this season, now it's making me feel dumb as I can't figure anything out - i don't like this feeling
Although, i got a feeling that the opening episode of season 6 will be them all back on the beach, just after the plan crash, with everyone that appeared in the first episode.

I have already warned OH that our nice new big tele will be getting a foot through it next year if the ending doesn't knock my socks off!
6 years of my life trying to work this out, if they land at LAX all fine or it turns out Hurley really is still in the psych ward and they are all figments of his imagination I will go nuts!!

Yeah, but got the feeling it was kinda 'fan-made'

Tonights opening scene convo... with white shirt & dark shirt...
they spoke of cycles... I am sticking with my 'game of the gods' theory.
Kinda like the end of the three matrix films, when neo talked to the architect who said the whole story was on a loop...
I'm hoping Lost will be like that, so that IF we are back to square one, we will at least get to see the bigger picture.

translation: the writers suddenly realised they were up to their elbows in it, but to sustain the ratings they had to keep putting the plot twists in, so they hoped we'd forget about some of the other stuff
also: most of the writers had already moved onto new projects... but were being made to 'stay in at breaktime' to finish this story off also

Well yes... but they conceived and wrote a 2-3 season show. It became so popular they had to bulk it out. Imagine Harry Potter in 3 years at Hogwarts suddenly becoming a 7 year hike.
