Ta Scotty....
I played that song back to back to back. Think I was in 5th or lower 6th when it came out and we were allowed to play songs in the classroom.
Chooooooooooooooooooon.

Or perhaps Barry could tell us.

omg I love Chaka Khan. My neighbour found her old record player and we were listening to her LP's at the weekend. Boy did it bring back memories.
I even had to admit to wearing both red and white pixie boots with leg warmers.

You could have made a fortune on ebay.

I know we were saying that she has some fantastic LP's too the ones where they had the inside cover as posters that unfolded. They are all in quite good shape too. I love that noise you get when you put the needle on the record.

Downloding's not the same is it?
Nothing nicer than spending hours in a proper record shop browsing through the racks.

Downloading is my nemesis
I haven't a clue how to do it - I have to rope my OH in and even he struggles.

I've got the hang of it.
But I miss the actual ownership of the album/single. Y'know....how you could read the sleeve notes, inspect the cover and just physically HOLD the darn thing, etc..?
Stevie Wonder's Sings in the key of life had a fab booklet to accompany the album - it took me ages to read and absorb all the info.
I've forgotten most if it now, of course.
Hallucinogenic Version. Got me tea. Two sugars
I feeEEel for you

I know what you mean.
It was always great when the album came with a booklet or even a poster
And I loved the double albums you used to get
