Ok i need some help, if anyone knows how i can do this let me know.

My hubby has a video camera and he's got a lot of these tapes of when my stepdaughter was growing up and when he and his ex wife had days out, now we don't have a VHS player any more so we don't watch tapes, i was wondering how can you put these on to dvd's from the video camera tapes? This would be great if someone knows what softwear to buy or how else to do it, thank you.

Lots of firms to analogue to digital transfer. You can do it on your own but you need the right kit and leads.

This is along the lines of what i was thinking, if anyone knows what kit and leads i would need then we might do it our selfs, if it's too much money to get someone else to do it.

It would depend on the type of video camera it was and what you are going to record it on to.

Have a look at TVstick.co.uk. Might do the job if your camera has the right Audio/video holes and of you can burn to DVd from you pooter.

Do you have a DVD recorder? Does it have a hard disk?

No we don't have a DVD recorder, we might get one now this weekend and try it that way.

If the camera is like mine, it will use small tapes. The tapes can be played from the camera. In fact the camera becomes rather like a small tape player which plugs into a DVD recorder. DVD recorders have panels on the front which cover over three holes two sound and one videp. If it's a newer camera it may have an "S" socket which makes it even simpler, just one lead.

They used to sell a combined VHS and DVD recorders in the shops. They were handy for transferring tapes to dvd. May still be available.

Also if you have a VHS Recorder and a DVD Recorder you can transfer any tapes to DVD. Just connect the two machines with a Scart lead.
