Because of the variety of different acts on display. There is more to entertainment then singing and it was good to see all the various acts, which would otherwise not have got airtime.

TBH paace i dont think singers should be allowed in BGT I think that should be kept for X factor
I agree! I rarely watch Xfactor because it bores me.... but I wouldn't miss a minute of BGT.

I kinda agree, but would it get big audiences without any singers?

I've seen BGT twice - one audition show and one live and they were both boring rubbish

I personally think the 'Audition shows' are well past their sell by date.....to many people entering just to get their face on TV......
