The cat just brought a lil mouse in and dropped it on the floor, I just picked the little mouse up with my own two hands and put it back outside I've never done that before!!

Was it alive.
Was it dead?
You are brave what a kind thing to do poor little mouse

I second this
It was alive, it was wriggling in my hands, but I couldn't look to see if it was hurt, but when I let go of it in the undergrowth he scurried away, am now just worried that he can't find his way home

Aww he'll be fine - maybe just a wee bit scared
That was nice of you
There seem to be a lot of mice about at the moment. I've caught two in the past couple of weeks.
We heard the first rustling about behind the fireplace, and saw him a couple of times. I caught him in a humane trap and let him go in the little park at the end of our road.
On Friday, me and OH were in the kitchen and I heard a noise inside the sack of wild bird food on the floor - it was another one who had obviously come in while the back door was open, got into the sack and couldn't get out.
I put the trap inside the sack and he just got in. Only had one eye, but very cute. Let him go in the same place as the other one.

They're much smaller than you expect, too. My dwarf hamsters would have them for snack

Well done PJ, I know that took some courage!
Very well done
Maybe the cat was already bringing the mouse home.

I think they're adorable, we get them quite often in our house too as we live out in the sticks. And they're absolutely minute! When I was younger and we ever caught one I used to try so hard to keep them in a box but they'd always die
