It's Monday, about 6am in Notre Dame cathedral, and Cardinal Dubois is still sleeping. He is awoken suddenly by a banging.
Oh No! er, Sacre Bleu! he says before swinging his legs over the side of the bed.
Down the first flight of stairs he goes as the banging becomes more urgent. Half way down the next he stands on his cassock and falls down the remaining steps ending in a crumpled heap. The knocking continues.
Dishevelled he eventually arrives at the door and on opening it finds a six year old boy.
"What is it my child?" he says.
"Ahrite Mate! Mah name's Dennis Modo. Me Dad won't be in terday, 'ees got a bad back!"
