The one TV series I can remember showing journalism in a positive light was Lou Grant. Great show but whether it reflected reality or not I have no idea.

Worth the wait. There is a right little git in it, who prospers by lying because the bosses are more interested in prizes than truth. But there are others who are more sympathetic - and some of the lines spouted by management weasels ("do more with less") could have come straight from a certain chief exec I know of..
