... ticket to see the cricket at Lord's tomorrow. I am caught in a dilemma, based on three problems, herein:

1. I hate getting up in the morning.
2. The weather looks like it's going to be cold, and Aztecs don't do cold.
3. With the Windies having had the follow on forced by England, they are already 30-2 and 186 behind. This means there is the likelihood there may only be half a days play. In addition to which the delectable Chris Gayle is already out... *note to self: must visit hunk thread*.

What advice can you give me? Disappointed

And if anyone says I should watch football instead, I shall have to sharpen the sacrificial knives. Devil

He is indeed proficient and conscientious, but the young whippersnapper God of Surprise Results needs his day in the sun... or wind and rain in this instance... Nod

plus its so built up round there theres hardly any room for the wind to get through anyway

The bars are all behind the stands FGG, so you watch it on Sky anyway... Back to the fight with my indolence then... could watch it warm and cosy with a bottle of chilled white wine at home! Laugh

I've only ever gone past hundreds of times, never been in...

You should take a look sometime... in fact there are apparently loads of tickets left, and if you want to get an atmosphere any Windies tour is good value, but the Oval is best when they're here. The media centre is a spectacular building... very sci-fi and so out of keeping with the crusty image of what folk think the place is about... Smiler

I thought the bloody south American rainforests were chock full of mist? I've seen Acapulco ... erm Apocalypto and perfect cricket weather it wasn't. Big Grin

Maybe you could sacrifice someone....a West Indian fast bowler or something?

Indeed they have a soft warm wetness.. the forests I mean... a feckin' deluge at 10degC isn't what they provide. I haven't aclimatised yet, so cut me some slack! ... And no.. won't put the bowlers to the block.. need the Windies back on top... so to speak... Ninja

My son has a ticket for the first days play of the Ashes at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff. Sorry - that should be the new SWALEC Stadium. Roll Eyes He's like a pig on elastic waiting for July.

That new abbreviation looks faintly kinky... and the elastic too? I hope he's supervised! Eeker Laugh
