Awww Honey, I know what aching to get some sleep feels like Hug Maybe try what Cinds suggested. Nurofen Extra are the business, they usually work really quickly Nod

But after you've managed to sleep, get to the doc's if your headache's still there when you wake up.

A couple of old wives remedies for you to try then:

1. A very cold towel on your neck. You can use a bag of frozen peas wrapped up in the towel or (what I have used) the wine cooler thingie in the towel. Better than ice because it doesn't melt.

2. Put your hands (or feet) into very hot water, as hot as you can stand it, for as long as you can.

Both have worked for me.

Lavender oil rubbed into the temples is good too, specially if you're having trouble sleeping

Does the Lavender Oil work Mazzy? I'm a terrible sleeper and am willing to try anything to see if it helps! Nod

It works for me.
I came across it first when I had my kids and the midwife used to run us chamomile and lavender baths, then put a couple of drops of oil on our nighties.
I swear by chamomile tea as a stress buster(tho it makes me wee),but lavender oil certainly works for me.I find Kalms tablets good too.
