It's the sense of entitlement and the huffiness about public scrutiny that turns my nose. It's public money, our money, that he's claimed and he's a public servant. When I think of the hoops that people have to jump through just to claim a few quid from our social security system when they've been dealt a life blow such as redundancy, it makes me mad.
They're buggered, aren't they? How are they going to justify trimming public sector pay or benefit levels when some of them been claiming tens of thousands for items and services that have nothing to do with necessary expenses.

The triumphant Labour candidate was feted with an incredible 606 votes .
The BNP came a close 3rd with 276
a safe labour seat, apathy and protest voting, springs to mind.
