Thank You Smiler

In a country that is fast losing its sense of community in many parts, it's a genuine joy to know there are still areas where people can rely on each other when needed.

I hope Shannon is happy and content with her new life, free from misery and eventually healed from the deeds of her morally repugnant 'Mother'

I was never fooled for one moment ........the minute she started blabbing about her little princess I smelt a rat.

I remember getting into huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge hoo hars on here with some folks who were convinced that the Mc Canns were guilty and were ready to jump down anyones neck who dared to criticise Karen Matthews ..........it got uglt ...........it was all about working class v's middle class .............i'll say now as I said then - it had nothing to do with class. I just never, ever believed Karen Matthews - it stunk from day one.

it was obvious from day 1 with her imo, why would you let the media just walk in your house in your hour of need and when the local shops let you have free grocerys for your family, you buy booze Roll Eyes

In the Shannon Matthews case I am deeply saddened to hear one of the neighbours say they were made to look stupid.

As a Mother of four I can honestly say, hand on heart, that had any of my children ever gone missing I couldn't have wished for a neighbourhood of better people than them.

They scoured the streets day and night for weeks, raised funds, offered comfort and support to Shannon's family, grieved, prayed, hoped for over three weeks.

When Shannon was found, they jubilated, a show of genuine relief and emotion.

Far from looking stupid, this community is worth their weight in gold. Clapping

Exactly what I thought! Clapping

Just caught up with this program on Catch-Up. I remember the Gordon Wardell case and distinctly recall that at the time of seeing him in wheeled into the press conference I thought he had done it. Especially as it had been announced just prior to him appearing that he had only suffered "minor" injuries in the attack.

Nod I remember me and my pops saying he looked guilty. He just didn't seem to care at all that his wife had been murdered, and it was all a bit strange the story he told.

I watched this programe last night, it was very good, but you know what got me. When I saw all the slowed down footage of Karen Matthews smirking and it looked so obvious, I thought how come I never noticed it before, funny when you looko back how easy it is to see she was guilty of something, very weird, nasty woman, she should have got life, biatch! Mad

I was very sceptical at the time but in a way I wanted to be proved wrong in my assessment of Karen, as I felt guilty, as this would mean that Shannon was really missing & worse.

Very obvious wasn't it?

I can't believe how she managed to deceive all her friends too - although as they said last night, they had their suspicions at the time... Shake Head
