Unfortunately it seems the norm for even murderers, rapists etc.... to only serve half of their sentence, makes you wonder why they bother in the first place

I read in the press a couple of days back that when he gets out he will be in talks with tv companies to make a series of programmes.
Cashing in on Jade or wot?
I don't know who I'm more mad at....him or the tv companies.
Or the idiots who watch or buy magazines about him.quote:Originally posted by Aquarius 11:

Sorry but if he does decide to cash in on his marriage to Jade then we deserve the right to judge him for it.quote:Originally posted by Tayto:

I don't think we have the 'right' to judge anyone. That is just my opinion.

I thought they got a third off no matter how they behaved. Didn't think "Time off for good behaviour" existed anymore.

A TV show about what? He couldn't grasp a door handle let alone an audience. The guy's got the persona of a deceased cod.

They still get a good behaviour condition.
From what I know, a sentence of 12 months will usually mean 6 months inside, even less if they have served time on remand whilst awaiting sentence.
I understood it as every day counts as 2. So if they got a 12 month sentence, and have served 3 months on remand before the sentencing, they would only serve 3 months in total.
However, they can have days, weeks added on to their sentence if they misbehave

Well if he wants to thrust himself into the limelight then he opens himself to all opinions, negative or positive.

I thought it was 50% for sentences less than 2 years, 33% off for sentences over 2 years, and a minimum term for very serious offences. I'm not really up to date on this stuff anymore.
