Going to blackpool in 2 weeks does anyone know a good but cheap hotel? It must not allow hen nights/stag parties.Any help is appreciated

My friend decided to catch the ferry and go to blackpool for a long weekend. One night later they took a train to manchester and stayed there for the remaining 3 nights.

I don't blame them. Blackpool is okay for a day trip to the beach when you only live forty odd miles away like me but my niece was recently celebrating her 21st there and invited me. I politely declined her invitation to attend

i love blackpool!!!.....hoping to go up with the kids for a few days in the summer.....

the place we normally stay in has gone well posh....so am now looking at 'the new kent' in knowle avenue......just past the north pier off the prom.....no stag/hen parties allowed.....

have fun.......

Awwwww! We had some great times in Blackpool. We tended to stay south of the pleasure beach. No need to go into the Yates Wine Lodge sector at all.

Yes. Full of maurading fat, ugly blokes and drunken slapper women. Really run down. Very violent at night at the weekends. I saw someone murdered there, I think. A gang chased a bloke down the main prom, picked him up, and threw him in front of a moving taxi which ran him over.

we lost the Family seaside image ....erm .... 1980 ..lol

I loved it what the Great Morrissey said as he was on stage at the Winter Gardens in Concert ...

the place went mentals in agreement ..lol

Our local paper wanted to ban him performing in Blackpool again ...the sad fools ..lol

I used to love Blackpool and visited many times as I used to live up the road near Morecambe. It must be over 30 years since my last visit and it sounds like it's changed out of all recognition.

Small family run hotel on Promenade, not posh by any means but clean, welcoming and excellent food.

Has website, which is very truthful.

Have stayed there several times

Edited for spelling and to insert name of hotel

That weekend with the taxi/gang incident ... I stayed in a hotel at the pleasure beach end of the prom, and some of my mates stayed in a cheap B&B near the main shopping bit. When we met up again, I said: "Well, mine's not too bad I suppose" and they all started laughing. Turns out theirs was run by a landlady with a hook for a hand, yes a hook like that mad mullah bloke has, and she ran through a huge list of DO NOTs before showing them their room. They said it was grim, with floral bedspreads, no en-suites, a pink shared bathroom, the lot.
