It was a no Frowner Obviously I'm gutted but I'm a big believer in the whole everything happens for a reason thing. It's rang true in the past! I did only do this as a bit of a laugh but I suppose getting down from 200,000 to 1,000 is an achievement! It's kind of made me realise though that the only thing I'm really passionate about in life is music so I've decided that while I'm at Uni and for the next few years I'm just gonna give everything I've got into tryng to break into the music industry. Gonna go and record a demo sometime next week I think and just send it and post it everywhere and do loadsa things!
Without wanting to sound like a sore loser I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit peed off because I definitely felt that we deserved to be recognised as the last performance we gave (not wanting to blow my own trumpet) but I thought it was pretty darn good! The thing that’s irritating me is seeing some of the other acts that have got through and listening to their work. No disrespect to some of the other groups but from what I’ve heard we were definitely one of the strongest groups. I understand that rubbish people have to go through for the comedy value but when average people go through as serious contenders I don’t understand it.

Anyway, it’s all positive and I think me and my friend are gonna record the song we sang so you can all hear it! Smiler
Thanks for your support and any ideas of how I can further my singing career would be muchos appreciated!

Hug Don't worry about it. I think this has happened for a reason. If you did get through you would have to conform to what the producer's want you to be and would also have to pay a lot of your earnings to them in return so it's probably for the best. They tend to take people on they can mould, not people who are independant and know what they want. A blessing in disguise Pink Plastik. Nod Smiler

Aw Pink... I'm so sorry Hug

Don't give up though! So many that have made it, when they talk about how they got there, say that they got rejected but kept on trying.

You do the demo's, you send them everywhere, you audition next year, and to anything else similar... just keep on getting up and doing what you do. Perseverance will pay off!

You obviously still believe in yourself... and that is very important.. keep at it!

Thanks people, yeah I do still believe in myself defo Smiler I went into it knowing that if I was rejected it wouldn’t be because of my talent. Primarially it’s a TV show and maybe next year I’ll strike lucky.. or hopefully sometime before that! When I go to uni I’ll be in a completely different city so who knows what will come of that!

Anyway, I’m off to the beach to enjoy the sunshine! Thanks again people Smiler

I only have one song on the tube which is a video of me and my friend at our leaver's assembley but tbh it's good but it's definitly not our best work so I'm gonna do some recording in a couple of weeks and I'll share it with you!

I'm really sorry you didn't get through, but at least you now know what you want to do. Get your act together and focus on breaking into the industry. You never know, maybe next year you will be auditioning for it on your own rather than in a group.

No I doubt it essex as we were videod in the final round but not infront of the celebrity judges. You may see a clip of us running through the door and hugging eachother though (we were asked to do this after we got through the second round).

Somebody on here yesterday asked whether anybody had heard how you had got on. So sorry it wasn't to be this time. Good luck for the future and don't give up trying! Thumbs Up
