And finishes with a piece of light opera!
Should be a golden moment on next HL SHOW.

quote:Earlier this afternoon, Halfwit was instructed to prepare a 15-minute presentation about himself entitled 'The Life, Times and Thoughts of Halfwit the First'. If all housemates attended the presentation, they would win two tokens and some music.
Not everyone has been looking forward to it. In fact, some people thought they might find it a little hard to concentrate.
"I think it's his voice," said Noirin thoughtfully. "You know when a teacher's talking to you?"
"It's almost as though he's reading off a script," agreed Kris, before going into an impression of Halfwit. "'I understand what you're saying and I'm taking that on board.'"
"I prefer someone to have a bit of character, personally," sniped Noirin.
Lisa wasn't enthusiastic either. "If it's about songs and that then yeah, but if it's about ******* Mrs Thatcher then..."
"...Talk to the hand 'cause the face ain't listening," finished Noirin.
Halfwit had been scribbling away in a quiet corner for the last hour, and emerged to give the presentation. It was stirring stuff.
"I was born with a brain with very little understanding of social signals," he informed the group. They all tried to look surprised. "If I had been aware of social signals, it would have crushed me. I've always been a bit different. I didn't notice people calling me stupid."
After touching briefly on the topics of genocide and global warming, he returned to himself and his love of music. "When I sing I go to a special place where there's just joy," he gushed.
Looking moved, Angel wiped a tear from her eye... although she may just have a touch of hayfever.
But Halfwit is not just a musician. "I'm a man of many different sides, many different angles," he explained. "I sing. I do politics. I am a very social person. I'm a very clever person, but I've had to work really hard to even be able to read and write. I'm really into politics, but I've been so frustrated with so much of politics. This is pretty much the story of my life in a nutshell: opposites, frustrations... perseverance, somehow..."
Grasping his hands together in delight, he added with a flourish, "I'm so sexual!"
"Everything's sexual," he continued. "It is music, it is food - it is enjoyment of everything."
After what seemed like only an hour, Big Brother interrupted to tell him that his fifteen minutes was up. However he didn't let that stop him from launching into a piece of light opera.
The man's a public speaking legend!
