I understand how you must be feeling. We were unable to attend our daughter's wedding.

I assumed it was her ex husband's/partners parents and she had split up from the dad.

Awww Aimee. It's hard isn't it?
My best friend is getting married in August and she's having a wedding and a blessing the week after so that her mum can come to one and her Dad the other.

Focus on the people you haven't had to put up with all day...
..but I do get how it must feel ... though if it were me, the relief of NOT having to be in the company of my ex and his mother, would balance it out.

Amen to that. Aww Amy, I know it's tough for separated families. At least you got to see photos of your daughter all dressed up and you never know, maybe she'll get to do it again at a wedding for your side of the family? Both mine and OH's parents were divorced and when we got married it became so problematic we ended up not inviting any of them and just going off to York for the day with four mates to do it in a register office.

My Brothers daughters were to be bridesmaids when i got married.Their mother pulled them out of the wedding four days before the ceremony was to take place because she was not invited.
You had the dignity to let them be part of their grandparents day, feel proud of yourself.
To this day those girls have never been bridesmaids and dont understand why they weren't.

Never mind, Aims. It probably just made her appreciate her Mum more. Bet she couldn't wait to get back to tell you all the goss
I have been a bridesmaid three times and, all three times, I would have been happy for no one to see me!

I'd reactivate my FB account for just a glimpse of THAT! Would a financial inducement help at all?

, a good wedding present lmao.
If me and my OH get married it will be so complicated I think we might have to just run away and do it ourselves. Both our parent's have split and now remarried or got new partners so the top tabel would be so big it would have more people on it than the rest of the room! Ah well, I always wanted to get married by Elvis in Vegas anyways. for you Aimee.

thank you, most things don't bother me, but this did for some reason, daughter rang me straight after the wedding to let me know how it went, think she felt the same
btw, me and my ex inlaws do get on
btw, the bride and groom left at 10.30 and the party went on till 3.30, daughter fell asleep in the lounge on the sofa, she went inro her room *she has her own room at grandparents* and someone was asleep in her bed, they had been sick and been for a pee
