Sorry, but I know what I saw. The "dyslexia" comment came within a hair's breadth of him telling Freddie to "go and pack his suitcase".

Are you seriously suggesting one comment was innocent and the other not? Sree was perfectly mouthy enough to defend his cause if he had a real case, but when challenged, he had nothing particular to say. Because he knew he was wrong.

Kelly Osborne countering his lame "I know someone dyslexic" excuse put him right in the hole. As she said, it was exactly the same as a casual racist claiming he had "black friends".

I'm saying that within a very stupid and nasty rant at Freddie, he used the term 'dyslexia student'.

He point was that he 'appreciates' that Freddie has dyslexia and managed to get into Oxford, despite this, but that didn't make him better than Sree and then showed off about his maths skills.

I take that to mean that he is actually impressed with someone overcoming their difficulties with dyslexia. As I'm sure he would have explained, if he'd been allowed to finish talking about his friend Lee, who also has dyslexia!

I'm pretty sure that I've just seen you say on another thread that Marcus can not be a racist, as he is lusting after Noirin!

Apologies if I'm wrong! Valentine

Yes, his point was "You may have overcome your difficulties with dyslexia and got into Oxford, but I am better at maths than you, so I can knick your garlic".

He was not insulting Freddie for having dyslexia, just his maths!

I get your point but if Freddie had said, "I appreciate you have travelled from India but your logic isn't up to scratch", I think Sree would have burnt a path to the Diary Room.

Laugh I disagree, but even so, would people see that as insulting him for being Indian? CrazyBig Grin

I think 'but' is the operative word in both cases! Big Grin

He may have said the word "dyslexia student" in a neutral fashion at another time, but his application of it in this case was quite different.

I've listened to it a few times now and every time I hear it as I believe it was meant ... an insult ... he was trying to hit Freddie where he thought it would hurt ...

Sree is a spiteful little prick, and obviously resents Freddie because even with dyslexia, he still managed to attend a University that shits all over the University of Hertfordshire.

I would imagine only students with connections to a flip flop factory would be putting their names down for that particular seat of learning.
