SOOOOO disapointed! Id virtually forgiven him for acting a muppet in regards to the England footie team, and now he's out! Frowner Hope this isnt gonna turn into years of another Tim Henman. (Bless Tim, a really nice guy, but didnt have the killer instinct) Still, at least I can watch the film Ive been trying to get round to seeing on Sunday now, coz I now have no interest in the final!

He's very young and will win one of these days, it's all part of the journey to make him a champion, and what he said about the England football team pretty much reflects what many Scottish people say. I know it sounds crap but they do go ON AND ON about the 66 world cup and moan so much when they lose, whereas when the Scots lose we go 'ah well' cheer the team and have a party we got to play in the first place. At least we did the last time I remember us playing in the World Cup, we cheered cos we got three games in before getting knocked out, yay!!

i think the football thing was supposed to be a joke; but he misjudged it and it backfired. it's a bit harsh if it undermines his whole career Glance

Disappointed but I'm sure he'll do it one day

Yeah maybe, but Nadal will be back next year and if Murray cant beat Roodick then how is he going to beat Nadal or Fed.

I think the US Open is Murrays best chance of winning a grand slam and if he plays brilliantly in future wimbledons then maybe he could win it.
likeafire
he must not take this defeat to heart and keep playing like he has this past year he now heads into his favorite time of the year when the hardcourt tornaments start if he plays to his normal high standards i think he will win the U.S Open i said he had a chance here but i didnt think he would win Wimbldon this year so hes got to take this defeat dust himself off and look forward to the U.S Open .

Im surprised he didn't beat Roddick today but he would have been thrashed in the final anyway.

Do you really think so? He has beaten Federer before(and once this year in fact), so it's not a given that it would've been a thrashing.

Roddick's been in amazing form this fortnight, his match against Hewitt the other day was incredible, I just hope he can hang on to it and deal some damage to Fed, giving us a worthy Final. Nod
