Despite the heat I've had a good day so far. I've sorted the midwife thing out, I've just found out that the value of my house could be considerably higher than expected and my first effort at selling on ebay already has bids which are higher than I'd anticipated and there's still 3 hours to go. I may celebrate with fish and chips.

Selling on ebay - PLEASE tell me more. I'm desperate to get rid of our house but didn't realise you could put it on ebay. Is it safe???

Err, not sure if you're kidding as I'm not selling the house on ebay, just some Nespresso pods, but yes, you can sell your house on ebay. Not sure I'd want to though.

No I was not kidding. I obviously mis-read what you were saying. Just shows how desperate I am to move and sell - I'll grasp at any straw!!!

Aww. It must be awful if you've set your heart on going and then find you're stuck. I'm not there yet but I do worry that we won't be able to sell ours when it finally goes on the market in a couple of months. I'm ready to move now and I think once you've made your mind up to do it you just want it over and done with. Maybe now the market's picking up you'll have better luck getting rid. Good luck anyway.

Blimey, yes it is. It's very beautiful up here, I can see why he'd want to come back. My hubby doesn't want to leave but with the baby coming we need to be nearer to his work in Leeds.

We're living in the South East, unfortunately jobs in his line of work are few and far between up there so we have to stay here for now. It is beautiful I agree, his Mum and Dad used to have a house at the top of the hill up near the moors. Are you natives of Holmfirth?

No we've been here for 9 years. We both love it, the views are amazing and the people are really nice. We moved here because my hubby works as an industrial chemist and Holmfirth is only 45 minutes from Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield so it meant he could move jobs if necessary without having to move house everytime. We're now looking at the York, Harrogate, Wetherby, Selby areas. We need to find somewhere pretty but near to Leeds.
