This Vid is slightly different to ones we've discussed. It's his musical tribute to Sammy Davis Jr for those who remember and liked him.
Beautiful, his voice was really underrated in the industry...

I'm glad you enjoyed it as I did Smiler

Sammy Davis was one of many who had to deal with the prejudice many black artists in showbiz had to face in a certain time period in the industry. Michael's sincere and moving musical tribute was a wonderful way to thank Sammy for helping to pave the way for black artists to come through and be accepted. At the time that was filmed Sammy was suffering from cancer which later led to his passing.
I know many artists long gone and still with us paved the way for black artists.. Sammy looked ill in this clip, I am not aware of his music but I will be checking for him...

P.S. Was he one of the artists whose songs was stolen and repackaged for radio stations?

I don't remember reading if that happened to him or not. He was one of Hollywood's all round entertainers in that he acted, danced and sung and a member of what became known as The Rat Pack with Sinatra, Dean and others etc. I liked Sammy's version of Mr Bojangles, I always associate that song with him, I'm going to see if I can find it on utube to enjoy again Smiler

Hug I have been misty-eyed since thursday... Some of his slower songs are a bit haunting and tear inducing...
