Holding in a laugh in places where you shouldn't be laughing always makes me want to giggle uncontrollably...like in the cinema if there is a really sad part, but something in the audience makes me laugh. Me and my flatmate end up sat there shaking with silent uncontrollable laughter, while others are near tears.

People falling over also makes me giggle. And falling over myself.

My friend can't take bad news or serious news without laughing, she has now passed it on to me. If we get bad/serious news together I can't look at her and she can't look at the person. She told me an old friend had died while looking like this Big Grin . I love her to bits so I understood that she fully expected me to burst into tears and she was just a bit nervous but it has caused problems before today.

I have been known to giggle at funerals which is unfortunate.

I can't think of any, but my Mum used to crack up whenever she tried to tell me and my brother off when we were younger, he would always manage to say something to make her laugh when she was mad at us. Once she threw a massive teddy down the stairs at us and my brother shouted 'Super Bear' as it was mid flight and she said she had to go into her room and hide under the covers she was dying with laughter so much. Big Grin

Awwwh, sometimes when the news isn't so bad, just a serious moment its quite funny but she has nearly caused a divorce before today for not being able to stop smiling when a friend and her partner were "on a break".

He was devastated and asked if she was seeing someone else, she grinned at him while saying no so he accused her of lying but its because he was crying, not because of the questions he was asking. I had to try and reassure him while she just sat there like the cheshire cat. She is a teacher now and still gets it when trying to be serious with a pupil or talking to angry parents.

Me and my old boss went to a dear customers funeral all was ok until they started singing purple headed mountain - my boss said typical barbara would have loved this song. I started to chuckle and the more I tried to control it the worse I got. By the end of the song I had more tears coming down my face than the head mourners.

Was awful. I was grunting and allsorts Big Grin

Hehehe! You just reminded me of the time my sister was dancing in her bedroom, she put her hand up, Saturday Night Fever style, smashed the lighbulb and got eletric shock. I still get belly laughs over that now, the look on her face.

I cant look at one photo album of mine without chuckling before I pick it up.

Its a photo album when I was pregnant with my daughter and when myself and my ex took the older kids off for day trips etc.

Well towards the end of the photo album there is a photo of me looking very pregnant.....

The reason I laugh is because the daughter I was carrying at the time used to look through photo album regularly when she was about 3 without saying anything until she looked at me square in the face and asked me where she was when the pictures were taken. I said you were in my tummy darling, to which her little face broke into tears and she said *but mummy why did you eat me*

Bless her little heart, pity lol

Talking of photos, there used to be a fab one of my brothers when they were little, that neither me nor my mother could look at without howling. Big Grin

They were on holiday and it's them and their dad. He's smiling, but for some reason they both look as if someone's just given them a rat sandwich each. The little one's mouth is like a letterbox and other other one's mouth is all pulled into a weird loop on one side. Laugh

Dunno where that pic is now though - think one of the bruvs must have burnt it!

Another thing I really belly laugh is when we were kids we went on holiday with my parents and neither of them being able to swim thought it was great fun to buy a dingy to take us kids out in.

All was ok until dad took mum out in the dingy and a great big wave flipped the bloody thing over - Mum now still hasnt forgiven dad cos she said she shouted help and he didnt hear her.

Just so happens she was under the water when she shouted pmsl lots
