Oh god I love marmite.
It's definitely one of my all time favourites.
I love just getting a big spoon of it and slowly eating it.

As a company, we did extensive taste testing on this subject a few years ago and it was hands-down "hate it!" A former colleague was a Kiwi, and he insisted that it was the best stuff going...and he convinced a few brave souls to try it. A universal "ick" was the result.
I can't really talk though, I like lots of things that other people consider gross...Twinkies, mushrooms, brussells sprouts, goat cheese to name a few

Isn't it what Aussies love and call Vegemite? hubby loves it but for me it's way too salty, and that's not good these days according to healthy eating gurus lol.
I like mushrooms and sprouts but not keen on goats cheese, and twinkies and the like are too sugary for me now since I've lost my sweet tooth lol.
Edit to say, in case it's lost in translation I haven't literally lost a tooth lol, just lost interest in sugary things

Sorry, I keep forgetting about our cultural divide...
Twinkies are most famous as the product most likely to survive a nuclear holocaust. Also, sometimes at county fairs here, they fry them, just to add some extra heart-attackiness...

When we visited California some years ago we were quite shocked at the size and weight of many Californians - since then Britain has also a lot of unhealthy obese people. When we saw the size of the portions in restaurants and fast food eateries over there we understood a bit better why there was a weight problem for so many.
Japan also now has a problem with overweight youth and it's thought it's since Macdonald's etc have been introduced in the last few decades.

Twinkies, or twinks, mean something entirely different in my world.

On the first MPs expenses Question Time they were feting the Boss of UK Mucky D's as though he was some sort of business supremo. I commented on this, and found people on here who also thought he was a legitimate business success.
So Mucky D's is like Marmite.
Everyone has an opinion.
Shite.
I love Marmite
I hate marmite
but I know people who can eat it by the spoonful straight from the jar though I do that with nutella

I love it, but I don't fancy it all that often. I have fads for it. It makes my hubby feel sick though.
Love it....

I love Marmite. I thought the special edition version with Guinness was lovely, but the champagne one is a bit yucky. I like Vegemite as well, but it is very different from Marmite.
really dont like it
I love Marmite...on Toast, crumpets, muffins and useful as a flavouring for stews and soups too.
