What about when you are 80 and wrinkly?

My husbands nan had tats, she was an old East London girl. Born in about 1910, she detested them, it was tragic to see her in a heatwave wearing a long sleeved cardie because she hated her arms.

But most women when reaching a certain age won't show their arms anyway, look at the kerfuffle when the new First lady went sleeveless....

Don't think the tats will be a concern then... Laugh Knowing what is where and who is who would be more of a problem i think. Big Grin

I think thats why your eyesight goes in older age so's you can still look in the mirror and not be disapoited.... Laugh

Thanks Tupps Thumbs Up Just want 3 small black stars on my shoulder, no colour Hug

NP chick.. Hug

Stars are cute btw.. it shouldn't be too bad.. rule of thumb I think is the less fleshy the more it'll smart. But like PeterCat says, if you feel a bit funny and you need a break then just say and the tattooist will give you a moment... don't be afraid to ask if you need it. Remember to take water with you.

Thanks hun Valentine Am such a wimp when it comes to pain thats what scares me Eeker Always watch Miami ink and they look so calm but then it's diff in RL Big Grin Do you think it would hurt on the bone bit of the shoulders? Am quite a small build. Glad you can ask for a break.. makes me feel better Big Grin Thanks hun, sounds like a good idea Thumbs Up

The question is--- Why do i need a Tatt?? Do not follow friends or Mags on the subject.... It is a personal choice... Do you want/need one??? what is your motivation to have one??? It is there for life--- Don't follow trends---- Trends change.... IMO nowadays--- no-one notices wether or not anyone has one... unless it stcks out like a sore thumb in a place where it can be seen and a lot of folk would not like it... Get your mate to draw a tat where you want one in marker pen and see what responce you get from it. Thumbs Up ps; i did a lot of mine by myself using a needle and indian ink... Laugh

Good questions Real Thumbs Up I feel like this is something I have to do for myself, which I want to do. My confidence vanished last year and getting this tattoo is a sign of how far I've come for me Thumbs Up The stars I really like and even if the worst comes to the worst I will be able to hide them discreetly. Good idea, might just do that Laugh A needle and indian ink Eeker Big Grin

Hey D2W joking aside.. If you have a confidence issue then please talk to me. Hug either on FB or PM on here... Anyone with probs i am here to listen. Being an owd git i hope i can help younger folk with decisions

I only have one.... i had always wanted one and went on and on about it, then my husband was in a bad accident and while he was in hospital recovering i 'took the plunge' and went to get my tattoo... its small... a tiny bird with two hearts on a string from its mouth.... I really hardly felt a thing.. just a scratching sensation.....until i asked the tattooist to put my husbands name under it!! He has a long name and i wished i had just asked for his initial lol. I still love it though and i've had it for years!

Sometimes 3+ reading glasses are a good thing Big Grin
Taking them off to pluck eyebrows is not so good though. But looking at myself in a mirror without them, boy do I look good Laugh
