I know, diddums. "Stop being so horrible to us, nasty public, or it'll be all your fault if one of us ends it all.."
I'd like to save my hardest slap for that Steen fella though. We're all just "jealous" of his big house and what right do we have to "interfere" in his private life anyway?

Bliddy wazzocks.
For me, his attitude sums up the whole place. They're all queueing up to say sorry now, handing the money back, talking about unacceptable behaviour, etc.
But really, I bet they're all thinking what he dared to say out loud: "Bloody peasants, how dare they question us?"

Margaret Beckett exemplified this attitude on Question Time last week - in all her full snotty glory

is she the one who was always bleating on telly not so long ago - full of self-righteous indignation about Kate Garroway's old man & others "smearing" her?
All very sorry,(although they haven't done anything wrong),now theyve been found out.

Didn't she just
It's not fair that we should get so angry, because we just don't "understand"...
And big deal about the Speaker for doing the honourable thing, too. He didn't flippin want to. Right up to the night before, he was adamant he wouldn't go, and the previous week, he was heard to say something along the lines of: I've not worked hard all these years not to take whatever I can get now.
It's the sense of entitlement that galls me - and they've all got it or they wouldn't have claimed all this stuff in the first place.

Yup, that's the one. She's a po faced wannabe with a whiney voice who keeps bleating on about media intrusion and MP's rights to privacy blah blah blah. Everytime I see that smug face I just want to slap it really hard.

Can I join the queue Deman? I'm not very forceful with a slap but can I bring a cricket bat instead please?
Jealous indeed - I couldn't give a monkey's what size house he has BUT I do object when the British taxpayer has to fork out for all his luxuries!!
Selfish arrogant leech.
On second thoughts - can I whack him twice?

I can just imagine the fury in the bar at lunchtime in the House of Commons, all of which is subsidised at our expense yet again.
'Those damned peasants are revolting'.

They're also allowed to spark up their cigs (or expensive cigars) in the Commons bars, too.

Yes, I know Deman. They're exempt because it's a palace.
One rule for the rest of us but they're OK.
Hollyhocks to the lot of 'em.
