I think you are definitely right there. Unfortunately, there is no reasoning with any of that lot. They have made their minds up about him and have closed their minds to him. None of them have given him a chance, especially when you think that Sree is 100 times more annoying then Freddy is supposed to be.

thats what I think too. I dont think Freddie gives a toss that Kris/they dont like him. I'm pretty sure he is just trying to show Kris/them up for what they are, ie - that they hate Freddy but cant actually give a reason for it
