This man is a prime example of how little the production team of these shows care about the competitors sanity or mental well-being (as well as other things...) before allowing them through the screening process. First and foremost, they should have checked his criminal record before allowing him to proceed. I also find it very hard to believe that not one member of the production team, or any of the judges recognised him from either his name or appearance, that he is a man who has been well documented for gate-crashing sporting events such as the 2003 Grand Prix, 2004 Epson Derby, 2004 Olympics and the 2006 World Cup.

The above aside (and not brushing away the fact the man is a despicable excuse for a man for crimes he has committed), there is evidently something wrong with his mental health and his history aside it's beyond a joke the producers put through people who are in a vulnerable state of mind for entertainment value and to be ridiculed in front of the nation.

Also I doubt ITV have authority to check the backgrounds of contestants and plus with the number of entrants I hardly think it is feasible to do a CRB check on everyone.

What if they were a crazy mad flasher and flashed the Queen?.... Eeker

She wouldn't bat an eye. She may chop off something though.

They would be arrested...
Someone without a criminal record can just as easily flash the Queen, and those with a criminal record can just as easily have the best talent this country can see

It depends on your crime like Rachel on X-Factor had a criminal past, but this man has reportedly abused children which is a different kettle of fish, was it last year or the year before a man got through to next round only to exposed as a paedophile? Then he was ejected from the competition.
