Yes I agree with every word Marguerita, its easy to be generous with other people's money.

Siavash has been near the bottom of my list throughout.
I can`t help thinking there is something a little bit, er ..odd(?) about someone who chooses to seek attention by looking so very silly.
He swears far, far too much. And under the brash and flash exterior I suspect there may be someone much less certain about things.

Marg, my last post was a mistake ^^^^

I agree with you. Aid contributions should be voluntary and not compulsory. Siavash was being a bit naive, but he is only 23 and he should have kept quiet about taxes.

It is nice to see you can admitt your fav was wrong even if he was being naive Wink

Marg, I am old enough to know the difference between right and wrong in anyone, but not all 23 year olds are that aware that what they say may sound like a shed load of twaddle.

vive la difference Brisket. I love Siavash's outlandish clothes and I love his ability to stay out of any big rucks in the house. It shows an awareness that unless you are directly involved it is a good idea to back off in case you may be drawn in. He keeps his own counsel about a lot of things. In some ways he appears older than he is, but when he spouts about aid and taxes I am reminded of his youth. Where you see a possible flash exterior disguising a less confident person, I see a person who has great self-belief. But I respect your opinion of him nevertheless. Big Grin

That's true he does appear older than his age because of his composure etc.. He did come across as immature in that discussion....

But I respect your opinion PCE, as I do most younger people's opinions. I have never seen a post of yours which I could disagree with. What I am saying is this: Siavash does not know about the subject in as much depth as he should before he argues. I do hope I haven't offended you, as you are a lovely FM xxx Hug

I'm glad I haven't offended you. You look so lovely in your ava. It is not the monopoly of the older FMs to always be right just because we are older. I always agree with your logic anyway. It is sound Big Grin

Thanks.
Can I just say you are examples of people who can hold opposite opinions and yet not feel the need to resort to personal insult or aggressiveness.
Thank goodness there are many posters here who regularly display the same sort of courtesy.
But cocoa and me felt differently about Cairon, and Twee and me feel differently about Siavash.
....and er..I suddenly felt I wanted to say how nice it feels to post without intimidation.
So thanks.
Now back to topic...

brisket, thank you for the lovely compliments. To be bracketed with PCE is a compliment in itself as she is one of my faves. She is polite and respectful to everyone, makes her point without offence. I try to be the same, always respecting the other point of view. The law of averages says that we cannot be right all of the time. The principle I work on in the forum is that if I feel that the poster is getting personal and veering from the subject, I will not reply. The Troll Tank is full of reprisals and I don't do reprisals. Here's a hug ... Hug
