I didn't have a problem with Brian as a housemate - i do find it rather endearing watching muppets over the summer, but i don't want to see the same character 2 years later playing up to his house persona.

The line about taking Dogface up the Kennel was crass, and if it had come from a housemate would have generated negative opinion.

I never wanted him to win because of that whole "stupid is cool and cute" vibe.

No, it's not. Although I can see it's reared its ugly head again, considering how this year's lot are treating someone to dared to go to Oxford.

What is it with this country? We celebrate idiots and sneer at anyone with a brain. Thank god the world doesn't rely on us to come up with ground-breaking inventions, literature or scientific geniuses any more.

All Britain seems to want is a cast of loveable losers.

The dancing at the end Red Face

It was a cringe fest.

and wtf has happened to Brian Dowling's head Eeker I love him, he is my fave housemate of all time, but he looks like someone stuck a hose pipe up his arse Glance

OH (who's not exactly sylph-like either) observed that he's starting to look like Eammon Holmes. Off the chickpea curry and down to the gym, pronto!

Eamonn Holmes Eeker Hahahaha! Laugh

I still think as a housemate he'd stand the test and would have won in any other BB since, he was the best Cool

Far too deep for me on a Saturday morning! Big Grin

BTW what do you mean by; 'dared to go to Oxford'- i would have 'dared' to be an Oxbridge student - had my A Level grades been near perfect, and had i passed the somewhat mirky entry process.

Ohh have to to disagree about the Eamonness...I think Brian Dowling has more of an air of James Dreyfuss (Tom Farrell from Gimme Gimme Gimme) who's a bit fat now too!

The entry system isn't that murky, from what I understand. Three straight As (although I'd guess these days when everyone gets As it would have to be three A*s) or the entrance exam. Plus an interview.

Lisa wouldn't get through it without arguing that Dickens wrote chick-lit and Newton was wrong, then claiming it was "her opinion". Roll Eyes
