Have you tried dove soap. I used to use that when my son got artist with a ball point. Someone once told me to rub Hair conditioner onto stubborn marks and leave for ten minutes then wipe off with baby wipe. If all else fails get some saddle soap.

Use a soft rubber like the ones at the end of a pencil

No it won't strip the colour.Put it on a cloth and use circular movements till it's gone.Then clean the leather with what ever you usually use on it,to get rid of the petrol smell.

What about toothpaste or salad cream? (Good for light switches, say Kim and Aggie.)
