Nope but you are suppose to part the fur and place it on the skin.
I would be interested to know this as well. I struggle with my cat pepper, but she doesn't like being held and does struggle which makes it harder

Well it helps if there are two of you, one to hold and the other to apply. Part fur with finger and thumb and apply to skin on the back of the neck.
If only you, take cat wrap securely in a towel and whilst they are said wrapped then apply as before.
I just stroke my dogs fur backwards and apply the front line, and it doesn't seem to bother him, he always gets a little patch of clumped up fur at the end of it, but it seems to disappear in a day or so.
We tried the towel trick ........ let's just say we now have some lovely towelling dusters
So we just put on thick jumpers to hold her now lol (She was rescued and still has a few issues )

Aw poor baby, to you for rescuing.
the cats are easy i just open a can of tuna and put it on their back when they are munching
Wait till they are asleep
the dogs were easy, the cat is another thing altogether! i just put gloves on, spray frontline on them then rub it in. she complains, but knows who is gonna win!
i've yet to try the 'bath' method, have the shampoo an' everything.
in answer - no it is impossible to get it onto skin only.

why is your pet in the army?
If you put it up high enough on the back of the neck they shouldn't be able to lick it unless you have other cats or dogs that like to clean each other...
Our cat goes MENTAL with Frontline but soon forgets. Giving him pills is another story...Lots of blood and fcuks is the norm lol
