I came on here to read some comments on tonights programme and clicked on page 17 to start. I started reading a post and someone starts saying how they knew Howard was going to go tonight I absolutely do not get how some people want desparately to tell everyone how they know who is going. They are just ignorant Spoilers and want to ruin a programme for everyone. I enjoy reading Mrs BBV's thread but I'm afraid I'll have to give it a miss until the final programme when the Apprentice is revealed.

You were reading the thread about tonight's show expecting there to not be spoilers? Really? If you want to be surprised then why don't you not read the thread before you watch the show.
If it helps, I'll ask for the thread to be 'spoiler free' in the thread title. We had to do that in series 3 but there hasn't really been a need since but it's no problem to reactivate.
I don't understand? The person who said they knew Howard was going to go only commented that they'd deduced it from something they saw earlier - but they didn't say so till after the show... by which time it was obvious from numerous posts before who had gone? I'm not sure how 'no spoilers' works in a live thread that discusses the programme? I mustn't have been around for series 3, but it must be difficult surely?
It wasn't a spoiler. They made that post AFTER Howard was fired.quote:Originally posted by paace:

Well from what I remember there was a poster who appeared on the thread every week and said she knew who was going and posted it. (DaisyBee if I remember rightly)
After muchos outrage by the other posters, and a request for 'no spoilers' to be put on the thread title she took her 'spoilers' elsewhere and started her own 'I know who's getting Fired threads'. TBH after a couple of weeks they were always wrong and turned out to be speculative guesses more than her in the know.
I'd rather just put a 'no spoilers please' into the thread title than there be any bad feeling in the thread. If someone else wants to start their own thread with factual spoilers with programmes inside knowledge or media fact then of course that is their perogative but all forum etiquette always dictates that you should alert your audience first? Hence the anger with DaisyBee as she never did.
However speculative spoilers are all part of the fun aren't they? Especially if they turn out to be pure, unmitigated bollox with no substaniated fact whatsoever?

I don't think the live feed threads should have to be spoiler free though ...after all once the person has gone its not really a spoiler unless you are watching later, in which case why are you reading through the thread.
Plus I can imagine saying things like "I can't believe what THEY just did" would get confusing.

Would you like the BBC Breakfast programme each Thursday to be stopped from interviewing the Fired Apprentice until the following week in case someone had videoed the Apprentice and not had time to watch it back?
Sorry guys as I posted hastily and in anger, as I thought the poster was going to reveal how you can work out who Sir A is going to fire at the start of each programme.
Still at this stage in the programme I'm going to stay away from anything to do with the programme until the Apprentice is revealed.

Ah, I remember all THOSE 'spoilers' Mrs BBV - I thought you meant at one time you didn't mention who'd gone within the thread at all! In any case I see paace has now clarified what they thought the OP was doing anyway... which is still only speculative. Soon be over anyway...

With you now - but it's only guesswork at the end of the day. There aren't normally any spoilers on here - but I know how frustrating it is when people do post spoilers without a warning.
