The truth is had it not been for Susan Boyle's appearance there would be a quarter of the hype there is and that's a fact. Susan Boyle can sing yes- but I have believed this from the start there is plenty of singing competitions around the country, the likes of Diversity and Flawless spend hours and hours creating and practising their routines, SoBo and the singers sing another persons song....until they write and perform their own music it is not a level playing field, for this reason on of the Dance acts to win.

Diversity and Flawless are certainly to be commended for their commitment and hard work to get to the level of dancing that's entertaining to watch, and I'm sure they'd be enjoyed by many at the Variety Performance.

Another view is that Susan has had her dream for recognition for many years, it's personal opinion as to whether her voice is good or not but I think she deserves the same chance of winning as the others do. People here seem to think it's between Susan and one of the Dance Groups, what if the voting public prefer someone else on the night?

I agree,...a bit, I certaintly think the dance acts are brilliant and the bit about the singers singing other peoples songs is also true, BUT the guy on the SAX is incredible, PURE talent at its finest a masterful MUSICIAN, skill like that takes years and years of hard work and practice and dedication to achieve,
I dont want to take anything from the dancers ESPECIALY diversity,
but the sax player could, and WILL be entertaing people for YEARS TO COME, whereas the dancers only have a short lifespan, "time n tide" etc,
it IS a difficult call to make, but for ME its GOT to be the sax player hands down, good luck to the dancers though, Nod

I couldn't agree with you more regarding Julian, he is a wonderful musician and a joy to watch/listen to. He's clearly in with a good shot in the final, he has the power to lose people in his music, and that's pretty special.

Overall, it's still Stavros Flatley for me, but my nose wouldn't be too out of joint if they lost to Julian or indeed Diversity. Thumbs Up

Another thing, Susan isn't as dumb as she lets on- I know she has learning disabilities but those wiggles etc she does and her general cockiness really puts me off her.

Do you think they might be related to her learning difficulties/slowness though?

Also, surely it is about her talent as a singer and not her personality?

I agree. I loved Julian's performance and it would be ace if he won. I now have a few favourties, him, Diversity, Flawless and Shaun Smith.

I feel really sorry for Susan Boyle. She as been used shamelessly by BGT for publicity and now she as served her purpose it seems people want to kick her back down. She is not the greatest singer in the world and she does have learning difficulties. She really doesn't deserve the backlash she is getting. But saying that Julian is my winner.

I think it should be about the whole package. Personality and talent Thumbs Up

I have to wonder if though that if it was an older, not so good looking man shaking his bits and shouting "come on Amanda" would everybody still be ok about it or would he be called a sleazebucket?
